Day 1

Well, we didn't get many good pictures yesterday, but we should today. We are going to eat a little brunch then head to the zocalo for a bit and to the canals at Xochimilco (a Nahuatl word by the way)! I will try to post some pictures tonight. Yesterday we took a nice nap then went to the mall at Santa Fe. David showed me all of his favorite places he used to go. We had to drive though Chapultepec, which was lovely, though I am sure it had to do with the fact that the very rich reside there. There were lots of beautiful houses along the route, but they were all heavily guarded. We went to 100% natural for dinner, then went to see Pirates of the Caribbean 3 (the least impressive of the series I'd say--seriously, they're making another one?). We finally got back to the hotel and David was hungry. The restaurant downstairs closed at 1 a.m. and it was five after. They were out of food, but more than happy to serve us drinks. David drank some racist brand of beer called "Indio" with a pictures of an indigenous warrior on the front while he told me about the beers of Mexico. Apparently, it is his new thing to collect, much to my dismay because unlike tea a good bottle can be rather pricey. We watched an episode of the office in our room and dozed off to sleep. A lovely day if you ask me. Here are a few pictures from the days before we left Houston and a couple of yesterday:

We stopped by Emmy's second birthday party!

Our good friends, George and Annie, recently moved to Houston. They came over to the new house for a visit and swim.

David wants one of these.

David at 100% Natural.

Found this at the mall. Every girl needs one of these personal, portable, spa boxes. Look how happy it made the girl on the box.
